Adult nights in the shop

Adults can build the boat too! We now are open each week, Tues-Sat from 5-8pm for adult nights. Come and volunteer in the shop to help us progress the summer projects as you learn new skills at the same time. It's a win-win!. No specific skills are needed. Come join us in the shop, we sincerely appreciate your support.

Mentor in our youth programs

Join us during the daily youth programs and be a mentor in the shop! We love having extra hands helping and the students love showing off their handiwork. We always have a project that could use your help.

Whether you can come for one session, one week, or the entire summer, please join us in the shop. You don't need to be an expert to be a mentor, we can teach you all you need to know.

Masters series:

We have a number of courses and workshops planned for the coming months. These adult programs are geared to teach more advanced skills - or to give you support in making the projects you've been dreaming about. Previous summers have included programs like half hull building, learning to loft, and built-two-take-one workshops for woodworking project. Fees vary with each course, so please look at the calendar to see what we've got planned!

Other ways to help:

Volunteers are the driving force of Boatworks! Volunteers help us teach the programs, keep the shop in running order, assist in coordinating our events, and ensure that the boat is finished on time. There would not be a Boatworks without the dedicated support of our volunteers.
