Summer 2021 Youth Boatbuilding
For ages 7* and through 17.
Boatworks is back!…..almost.
Due to Covid, we’re still running a modified program this summer, but we are inching closer to normal. Our summer programs this year will follow our past structure, with each kid meeting for two three-hour mornings sessions each week. We are not yet able to offer individual programs for beginner, intermediate, and advanced skill groups. Instead, kids will meet as part of our Mixed Ages Mornings, where all ages will work side by side building. We love Mixed Mornings because it promotes peer teaching, where students really learn to master skills and share knowledge by working together and guiding each other.
Although our programs will be offered free of charge this summer (in support of the many families who have been financially impacted by COVID), all students must be registered in order to participate. All safety and health protocols, including the proper wearing of masks, must be observed while participating in Boatworks programs this summer.
No woodworking experience is needed to join any of our programs.
This is a short summer, with the program running from July 13th to Aug 7th.
There is no minimum attendance required.
This program is for kids 7*-17. (kids turning 7 anytime in 2021 can attend with a guardian; kids turning 8 or older in 2021 can attend on their own.)
